John Coyne, DVM Partner
Dr. John Coyne has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 42 years. He was raised on a farm in Central Illinois and graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. Dr. Coyne also owns and operates several other animal hospitals in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana areas. He is a big fan of University of Illinois athletics, and enjoys all Chicago sports. He and his wife Ruth have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.
Jeremy Buishas, DVM Partner
Dr. Buishas graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He worked his first 5 years following graduation at a local hometown veterinary hospital before joining the Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital in 1992. Dr. Buishas took over ownership of the practice in 2004 and has been instrumental in beginning work with 9 humane societies.
Arlene Rodriguez, DVM Partner
Dr. Rodriguez is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist with approximately 25 years of veterinary experience in general practice. She is currently pursuing training in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine. Born and raised in Illinois, she received her Bachelor’s degree from Loyola University and received her doctorate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. When not doing rehabilitation and working at her general practice, she spends time with her husband, 2 teenage children and her 2 dogs, Cookie and Rascal. Her interests include tennis, golf and reading.
Roberta Milas, DVM Medical Director
Dr. Roberta Milas is an Illinois native who is excited to be practicing in the Chicagoland area again. She is an Augustana College graduate, and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. In her 8 years of clinical experience, she cites internal medicine, canine rehabilitation, and emergency and critical care among her “favorite” areas of practice. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and caring for her 2 dogs; Admiral, a Jack Russell Terrier, and Hodge, a Great Dane.
Stacey Sutter, DVM Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Sutter grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She received her BS degree in Animal Sciences, her minor in Chemistry, and her DVM from the University of Illinois. She has a special interest in veterinary surgery and dentistry. In her free time, she loves traveling and spending time with her husband, family, and pets.
Michelle Daviou, DVM Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Daviou grew up in upstate New York. She earned her BS in Anthropology-Zoology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and her DVM from Purdue University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time exploring Chicago with her husband and her dog, Avo.
Jessica Hulesch, DVM Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Hulesch was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She received her BS in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Art from Elmhurst College, and her DVM from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. She has a special interest in exotic animal medicine and veterinary surgery. In her free time, she loves drawing, reading, gaming, playing clarinet, and spending time with her family and pets.
Laura Kozlowski, DVM Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kozlowski is originally from Virginia, and received her BS in Biology from Washington and Lee University. She spent the next 2 years working in cancer immunology research before pursuing her DVM at Tufts University in Massachusetts. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Kozlowski enjoys running, reading and spending time with her husband, their 2 Siamese cats, and their 2 rescue dogs.
Laura Daily, DVM Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Daily grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago. She received her BS in Biology from Illinois State University and her DVM from the University of Illinois. She has a special interest in veterinary surgery, rehabilitation and ophthalmology. In her free time, she enjoys baking, painting, working out at the gym and spending time with her family and 2 cats, Toby and Blue.
Steven Zachar, DVM Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Zachar was born and raised in Chicago where he received his BS in Biology/Ecology at Loyola University. He earned his DVM from the University of Illinois, where he enjoyed working with a wide variety of domestic, zoo and wildlife species. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Zachar enjoys playing ice hockey, traveling the world, and exploring the outdoors with his very handsome Retriever mix, Simba.
Jose Henriquez, DVM Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Henriquez came to the US from Venezuela and studied Biological Sciences at University of Parkside in Illinois. He received his DVM from Tuskegee University in 2009. His main interests include internal medicine, imaging, and critical care. Dr. Henriquez and his girlfriend rescued an energetic Chihuahua/Dachshund mix named Tito. His hobbies include traveling, watching movies, playing sand volleyball and dancing.
Brice Ratchford, DVM Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Ratchford was born and raised in South Carolina where he attended Winthrop University for his BS in Biology. Dr. Ratchford graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2017 after completing his clinical rotations at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Ratchford’s areas of interest include cardiology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine and surgery. He enjoys traveling, cooking/baking, movies, and live theater. He has 2 cats, Apollo and Athena, and a dog named Artemis.
Adrienne Whittier, DVM Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Whittier grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. She received her BS in Biology with minors in Chemistry and History from the University of Miami, and obtained her DVM from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in veterinary dermatology and dentistry. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Chicago, trying new things, and spending time with her husband and their three-legged dog, Broko.
