John Coyne, DVM Partner

Dr. John Coyne has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 42 years. He was raised on a farm in Central Illinois and graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. Dr. Coyne also owns and operates several other animal hospitals in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana areas. He is a big fan of University of Illinois athletics, and enjoys all Chicago sports. He and his wife Ruth have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

Jeremy Buishas, DVM Partner

Dr. Buishas graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He worked his first 5 years following graduation at a local hometown veterinary hospital before joining the Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital in 1992. Dr. Buishas took over ownership of the practice in 2004 and has been instrumental in beginning work with 9 humane societies.

Arlene Rodriguez, DVM Partner

Dr. Rodriguez is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist with approximately 25 years of veterinary experience in general practice. She is currently pursuing training in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine. Born and raised in Illinois, she received her Bachelor’s degree from Loyola University and received her doctorate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. When not doing rehabilitation and working at her general practice, she spends time with her husband, 2 teenage children and her 2 dogs, Cookie and Rascal. Her interests include tennis, golf and reading.

Michelle Daviou, DVM - Medical Director

Dr. Daviou grew up in upstate New York. She earned her BS in Anthropology-Zoology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and her DVM from Purdue University. Outside of work she enjoys international traveling, spending time outdoors, and exploring Chicago with her husband and her dogs, Avo and Quest.

Stacey Sutter, DVM - Lead Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Sutter grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She received her BS degree in Animal Sciences, her minor in Chemistry, and her DVM from the University of Illinois. She has a special interest in veterinary surgery and dentistry. In her free time, she loves traveling and spending time with her husband, family, and pets.

Jessica Hulesch, DVM - Senior Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Hulesch was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She received her BS in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Art from Elmhurst College, and her DVM from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. She has a special interest in exotic animal medicine and veterinary surgery. In her free time, she loves drawing, reading, gaming, playing clarinet, and spending time with her family and pets.

Laura Kozlowski, DVM - Lead Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Kozlowski is originally from Virginia, and received her BS in Biology from Washington and Lee University. She spent the next 2 years working in cancer immunology research before pursuing her DVM at Tufts University in Massachusetts. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Kozlowski enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband, son, and pets.

Amanda Johnson, DVM - Associate Veterinarian

Q. What is your favorite comfort food?
A. Tacos

Q. If you could give only 1 piece of advice to pet owners what would it be?
A. Invest in pet insurance for your pets when young or when first adopted. It can be life changing!

Q. What is your favorite thing to do?
A. My favorite thing to do is travel- usually to an ocean. Shark teeth are my favorite things to find.

Meagan Hartmann, DVM - Associate Veterinarian

Q. Are you from the area?
A. I was born and raised here and I graduated from Nazareth Academy high school.

Q. How many pets do you have?
A. 3; Kelee- shepherd mix, and my 2 labs, Flynn and Beckett.

Q. What hobbies do you enjoy?
A. I enjoy the outdoors and I love hiking.

Q. What kind fo adventure would you enjoy going on?
A. I would love a good snorkel day or go scuba diving in the ocean!

Alicia Sweeney, DVM - Associate Veterinarian

Q. What has been your most rewarding moment working with animals?
A. Watching the sick ones go home to their families.

A. Homemade Mac & Cheese

Una Miculinic, DVM - Associate Veterinarian

Q. What is your favorite comfort food?
A. ICE CREAM and FROZEN YOGURT or any Indian food if these others aren’t considered actual food.

Q. What is your biggest pet peeve?
A. People that chew with their mouths open.

A. Hermit crabs (I wasn’t allowed to get anything else!)

Allison Kihn, DVM

Q. What has been your most rewarding moment working with animals?
A. Seeing my patients that were sick become healthy.

A. The dark

A. Doctor Who: The Last Dodo

Q. What is the most unusual pet you have ever owned?
A. Ball Python.  However, I used to be a zookeeper, so I have cared for echidna, cassowaries, armadillo, kangaroo, and Big cats.
