Michelle Daviou, DVM - Medical Director

What has been your most rewarding moment working with animals?
I always appreciate seeing the strong bonds clients develop with their pets whether they are a service animal, working dog, or a house-hold pet and member of the family.

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment at this point in your life?
Becoming a veterinarian and a mom and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

What is your favorite comfort food?
Pad Thai with a thai iced tea

If you could give only 1 piece of advice to pet owners what would it be?
Preventative medicine is the best medicine.

What is the last book you read?
Dinosaur Dance (it is my son’s favorite)

What is the most unusual pet you have ever owned?
Green Anoles

Arlene Rodriguez, DVM

Dr. Rodriguez is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist with approximately 25 years of veterinary experience in general practice. She most currently received certification in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine. Born and raised in Illinois, she received her Bachelor’s degree from Loyola University and received her doctorate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. When not doing rehabilitation and working at her general practice, she spends time with her husband, 2 teenage children and her 2 dogs, Cookie and Rascal. Her interests include tennis, golf and reading.

Amanda Johnson, DVM - Associate Veterinarian

What is your favorite comfort food?
Tacos

If you could give only 1 piece of advice to pet owners what would it be?
Invest in pet insurance for your pets when young or when first adopted. It can be life changing!

What is your favorite thing to do?
My favorite thing to do is travel- usually to an ocean. Shark teeth are my favorite things to find.

Meagan Hartmann, DVM - Associate Veterinarian

Are you from the area?
I was born and raised here and I graduated from Nazareth Academy high school.

How many pets do you have?
3; Kelee- shepherd mix, and my 2 labs, Flynn and Beckett.

What hobbies do you enjoy?
I enjoy the outdoors and I love hiking.

What kind fo adventure would you enjoy going on?
I would love a good snorkel day or go scuba diving in the ocean!

Watching the sick ones go home to their families.

Una Miculinic, DVM - Associate Veterinarian

ICE CREAM and FROZEN YOGURT or any Indian food if these others aren’t considered actual food.

People that chew with their mouths open.

Hermit crabs (I wasn’t allowed to get anything else!)

Allison Kihn, DVM

What has been your most rewarding moment working with animals?
Seeing my patients that were sick become healthy.

What is your biggest fear?
The dark

Doctor Who: The Last Dodo

What is the most unusual pet you have ever owned?
Ball Python.  However, I used to be a zookeeper, so I have cared for echidna, cassowaries, armadillo, kangaroo, and Big cats.

Caroline Kalebich, DVM

Name 3 things people might be surprised about if they knew it about you:

1. The summer after graduating from undergrad, I managed a dairy herd of about 82 holsteins.
2. With the University of Illinois, I traveled to Australia for an international meat judging competition with my team.
3. During my free time, I love to volunteer and build homes with Habitat for Humanity.

Make sure your puppy gets professional training.

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment at this point in your life?
Marrying my amazing wife

Name 3 things people might be surprised about if they knew it about you?
1) Am an active member of the Rail Passengers Association
2) If I was not a vet I would be a historian
3) I prefer to travel cross country on Amtrak.

Monica Capolongo, DVM

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment at this point in your life?
Graduating from Veterinary School. I have had this dream and goal in mind since I was in 2nd grade so being able to complete that goal and make that happen has been by far the greatest accomplishment

A nice slice of New York City Pizza

If you could give only 1 piece of advice to pet owners what would it be?
Always put your animal’s quality of life first

Name 3 things people might be surprised about if they knew it about you? 
I was a competition cheerleader. I hit a grand slam my freshman year of college to win a softball game against Cornell University. I love Broadway musicals.
